Must have landscaping tool.
By The customer is right!
I beat the bejesus out of this thing! I used it to clear a half acre of overgrowth and it took all I could throw at it. I pulled with a lawn mower, and with a 1979 F150 monster truck. The only weakness I could find was the spring but since I abused it so badly I can't really complain. It withstood two angry rednecks kicking it repeatedly until it fit onto a tree that was probably too big for it than pulled on it with a nearly 400 hp truck until a 3/8 chain snapped and left a huge dent in the tailgate. The brush grubber was fine and when I put a half inch chain on it it finished the job. It was hard to get back off the tree, but I was able to beat it back off with a rock and it continues to work fine to this day. Half inch chain gets heavy when you have to keep moving it by hand though. My only suggestion is to buy a very heavy duty nylon pull rope with it. Dragging a chain around sucks, and it seemed to work better when we changed to a nylon tow rope because when the chain bounced wrong sometimes it would fall off the tree if it wasn't put on well to begin with. I really wish we had used the tow rope from the start. Also I'd still have my good 3/8 chain and a dent free tailgate! As for the spring just make sure you put the spring side down when you put it on the tree and you'll have less problems. Learned that the hard way.

BAC Industries BG-08 Heavy-Duty Brush Grubber
By SkyDriverF4
Works well. Grabs and pulls even the small branches. Need to be strong as opening the jaws and handling this unit in confined spaces is a tough job. There is no slipage and this monster gets the job done. Pulling trees is definitely a two person job - one to drive and one to afix the brush grubber and then open and remove the pulled trees.

husband likes it
By A Customer
husband likes it it should help us clear out a lot we have near the lake.lots of trees different sizes. he said a handle to open the jaws would make it much eaiser for one man to operate. he has shown it to friends and 4 people have said they will be getting one also. i would like to know someone who has one of the smaller ones with the long handle he seems to think i would like it and use it .but first i would like to see it and try it out before getting one. he hooks his up to a chain hoist, and pulls live redbuds, dogwoods sugar maples, and seals the hole with pruning sealer and transplants them .
