I have both the Burgess and the Black Flag models of the fogger. I fog the patio before people are going to come over or before we have dinner on the patio in the evening. It works great. You have to wait while the coil heats up after lighting both models and then, the fog starts. Shoot the fog away from you in a sweeping motion and it creates a "bug barrier". Patio life is basically bug free! Use the fogger on a regular basis and you will break the life cycle of the insects you are trying to keep away.It would be nice if the smell was more like lemons or citrus. It would be more pleasing to spray. Also, there might be a nice lingering scent after the fog settles if it were lemon. Also, lemon grass is a natural repellent so, you would have the best of both worlds with a chemical and natural compound both being used at the same time.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE PRODUCTS. I do like the Burgess model better than the Black Flag but, the Blag Flag does have an electric start which is nicer than using a lighter to light the Burgess.

Have used this in some very intense areas for mosquitoes and it does a good job but not with the liquid spray that comes with it. I had to use it more slowly than I thought because it does take it a while to reheat the coils as your spraying.We bought commercially available Malathion and mixed with 50/50 with diesel fuel at first but it was not satisfactory. Then used a 50/50 mix with kerosene and we got it right. DO WEAR BREATHING PROTECTION!!! The mixture we used did a terrific job of eliminating the flying insects in the area but it is also strong and the first time with only a particle mask, I got slightly sick to my stomach.It does not do any good to spray in an open area, the fog dissipates and it is gone in seconds, but in a confined area it does a wonderful job.

This product did not function as claimed from day one. It takes too long to heat up, has a slow recovery and most of the time spend spitting on the ground. I have pets and that makes this product junk.Never again. Had a old propane unit that lasted for years, but the new ones are subbstandard equiment and break down do to workmanship and parts. Very disappointing. Returning it today as it now does nothing but spit chemical, no matter how long you heat it up. I think the elemnt has failed. Done with Blak Flag
