Product Description
BRAND NEW Condor Knife & Tool Pack Golok Machete with Leather Sheath. Modeled after the Indonesian machete, the Golok is very sharp and balanced. Features beautiful hardwood handles. The machete is well built and has a solid feel in the hand. The 11" blade is 7/32" (0.56 cm) thick and is made of 1075 High Carbon Steel. It features a Condor classic blade finish. Measures 17" overall (because these are hand made, the length of the blade and overall length will vary slightly).
The Golok comes with a well made leather sheath that features a swiveling belt loop for at the hip.
The Golok Machete is built for chopping and slicing and is a great tool for tough tasks.

Once again, Joe Flowers outdoes himself! The pack golok is a definite boon to have on the trails. Lighter than the full size golok, yet it chops like a beast! The convex edge is great for chopping, though, at Joe's suggestion, I used a slight draw in the chopping motion, which increased the depth of this beast's bite. It should also help increase the edge life. The rough looking finish, or lack thereof, on the majority of the blades surface makes it look kind of rustic. As far as the grip goes, it could have used the ball at the end to allow for more powerful swings without having to grip down tight, thus tiring out your hand and arm, but it's fine without it. Some people have has some issue with the smoothness of the handle. I ended up putting part of a rubber innertube from a bike tire over the handle and this actually allowed for an even better grip, though if you got bigger, stronger hands like a rockbiter, you shouldnt need this. The sheath is ok, but I'm going to have one made from kydex which will allow for multiple securing and carry options. This might just become my new favorite bush blade. It even looks non-weapon enough that it shouldn't scare the sheeple...much. They do scare easy. But it'll definitly mess up anyone stupid enough to threaten you and yours. Happy trails!

I love this blade. This is a an awesome bush/camp knife that is very well made. I like the texture of the blade and as the previous reviewer put, has a nice rustic look. This is a thick sturdy blade that is a great all around chopper that will stand up to use. I originally bought Condors Thai Enep knife as my main camp knife but this has replaced it as a favorite. I have recently become a big fan of Condors blades and own several. This is my favorite among them. HCS means it will take abuse but will also rust so make sure to keep it clean and oiled (I always carry some gun oil wipes in my pack to wipe my blades down with). And although the sheathe doesn't provide for many carry options (just belt) it is still a high quality leather sheathe. Overall this is an excellent knife at a good price(though I would shop around, I got mine more than $20 cheaper elsewhere).
