Easy to handle and put down

I just put down 300' of this in a small orchard, and I was very pleased at how easy it was to handle and cut. We just rolled it down the length of the row, cut slides mid-width for each tree, slid it into place and stapled.I was curious on how well it perked water, so I dumped a bucket onto it and was delighted to see it just run through.Not inexpensive, but not cheap either. I don't have the time or labor to mess with cloth every year, so this will be down for quite a while.

dewitt pbk4300 4ft by 300ft weed barrier

I needed 300ft of weed barrier for a landscaping makeover. After reading the reviews on many other weed barriers, I went with the Dewitt. It was the right choice. The Dewitt weed barrier was strong and easy to work with and so far so good. It was indeed strong and thick enough to put spikes into and not have to worry about it ripping. I ended up doing more than originally planned so I ran out out of the Dewitt fabric and went to Home depot and purchased a small quantity of their contractor pro barrier. What a joke. What garbage compared to the Dewitt. I"m really curious to see how it holds up after time. Oh by the way, the price on Amazon was great too!

Fast delivery, excellent product!

This year, we decided to lay down weed barrier and decorative rock on our entire yard. It looks fantastic, but we wanted to wait until the rainy season to see how well the weed barrier performed, and I'm happy to report that, after 2 months of nearly daily rain, not a single weed has poked its head through our handsome rock landscaping. I'm impressed!We've ordered many more rolls in order to do our backyard too. No grass or weeds for us!

Lifetime Warranty Honored

I bought this wagon six or seven years ago when I first bought my home. I used it to landscape my backyard--sand, sod, pine bark, compost, plants, you name it. Last week the wheel fell off. I logged on to buy another one and saw that the cart had a lifetime warranty. I found the Ames website, got the customer service number and called. I told them my wheel fell off and the front had been duct-taped for years. The person on the line spoke English, and he was polite and helpful. He asked me a few basic questions, and then asked for my address so he could have a new unit shipped to me. I am actually shocked that there is a company that honors its warranty. I strongly suggest this wagon and this company.AddendumMy cart actually arrived today.

Nice cart, but don't buy it for this price!

I just picked one of these up at Home Depot for $37, and that's their regular price! Don't pay over $100 for this, as it is here. It is a very nice cart, though -- quite stable and handy, although the wheels are somewhat cheap looking (hard plastic, not rubber). I don't think the wheels are a real drawback, though...they get the job done.

It broke but that's okay

My wife just read this review and thought to herself and said, "That thing had a bunch of major problems". It kind of did.For me, this cart was a replacement for the 3 cu ft Easy Roller Jr which was absolutely super but got smashed by a falling tree. You should buy this because you can maneuver it with one hand. You don't have to lift the back end up all the time. This makes for smoother handling, but the wheels in the back will wear down over time if you don't lift while turning. Let's say your wife has the light end (the end with the little wheels) and you have the heavy end and you are carrying it into the house full of firewood. When your wife sets her end down and there's still a bit of momentum in the load, the back is not going to leave a scuff. So you don't have to be so careful.Now, about the flaw. What happened? I just got this thing like 2 weeks ago and I have barely used it. I know how to treat it because I'v used one lots of times before. I've stored it outside and it has gotten cold here lately, but I am really stretching there. Maybe this was freak accident. I didn't even see it break, but I brought it into the basement just fine, loaded it with like 10 shovels full and on the way out I noticed it was broken. Perhaps when it had the three 4' 2x6's maybe it landed on it's handle. So, improper loading, tipping, hills, whatever. So why buy it again?Well maybe it's because I am crafty and was able to repair it. "Repair plastic", you ask? Yes, just because it broke right where it did. Right at your left thumb if you were to operate it. How I fixed it is no miracle. I got my Dremel out and put in a sheet-rock bit and cut away the now excess supporting material inside the center of the handle. This allowed me to insert a rigid 1/2" electrical conduit, 17" long, all the way through. There really should have been this feature in the design. And by the way, that whole handle part across the top, it shows warping, as in a downward bow. Oh, and I had to trim excess plastic from the front wheel. A defect that could cause degradation of the wheel over time.

Good deal on Misty Mate

The product was great and easy to install. One person can do the install in less than 1 hr. There is some trial and error of where to put the mister tubing and what direction to face the spray.

You need mist

If you are shopping for misters these are definately them, spend the extra money and get these with the larger hose and able to handle the additional pressure. I have these just attached to the hose and they are amazing, really fine mist that is able to bring 105 degree temperature to something nice that makes you want to stay outside. These are definately worth it and for once the advertising is true.

Great Product & Handy

The cart is an excellent idea for gardening and yard work, It's just like the pictures, but the trailer is not included. Buy one for Mom, Grandma, or anyone who loves gardening--male or female. I love the John Deer sturdy look. Mush better than the plastic ones. This one is a good value; however, made in China. I am very handy, so I used some extra screws and bushings to make it a bit more stable. I had to bend the bottom basket to fit on the frame without hitting the tires. Probably from shipping, even though it was packed well. I would buy it again and I would recommend it. It was still easy to assemble for anyoneand looks great.

Rolling N Doing the Garden

I love my garden seat on wheels. Bad knees has made it impossible for me to weed and tend my flower beds, but this little tool has gotten me back out smelling those flowers. It is the perfect height for me to pull the weeds and still be able to get up after sitting. I bought this one over others because I was hoping the pull handle could be used to help me up and down it works perfect. The others I tried were too low to the ground and I could not get up off them. This is very sturdy and works perfectly for what I needed. The other day I was doing something in the house, my husband said go get your garden seat and use that to help you.

High Quality Pruners

These RP-902 Stainless Steel Florian Ratchet cut pruners are worth the high price tag for a number of reasons. Firstly, it is obvious that they are made out of the highest quality materials (stainless steel and spring steel). The blade itself appears to be coated (teflon?) rust resistant spring steel. The fit and finish of the construction is also excellent. When you hold them, they even feel very well made. They are relatively narrow and small and they fit well in smaller hands. These pruners are the identical model as those sold by CutCo for $100. It takes a few cuts to get use to the "rachet' cut mechanism. However, after a few attempts and a small learning curve, it sure does make cutting larger wood easy. They make a nice clean cut. The included belt pouch is also very nice and made out of heavy duty nylon. Overall, this pruner is comparable in quality to other high end pruners such as Felco and Cutco. What I like most about this pruner is that sand, grit, and dirt do not jam the spring and effect the cutting action as much as the Felco-type pruners. I have found the Felco-type springs are easily gummed up with dirt. As someone who works in the dirt, this is important to me. It is also Made in the USA with Lifetime Warranty.

American quality but,

My goal of finding a quality, American made ratchet pruner was achieved but I find the safety lock to be rather annoying. It intermittently locks in the closed position. It seems that if I let the jaws go all the way open before making the next cut it seems to help it not lock closed, but not every time. I have medium to smaller hands (for a guy). Maybe for someone with larger hands the motion required to completely release the blades between each cut would not be as awkward as it is for me. I think I may have sent them back if I felt I could have found another quality American made ratchet pruner. Some times it will not completely cut a smaller twig (1/8th inch or smaller). The holster is very handy.

Excellent tool

I used the Sod Lifter to remove about 170 square feet of low growing Korean Grass. The sod was totally dry and the removal was completed within 2 hours. The task could have been completed faster if the sod had been moistened the day earlier.The tool was very easy to use and made the job much easier than using a shovel.

Save your back

I think the blade should be sharper but it was certainly better using the sod shovel. I have been using my littlewide pick ax type thing and it was back breaking to say the least. Once I got the sod shovel started, it was comparatively much easier. But I do think it will go faster and smoother with a sharper blade.

Ames Co. Sod Lifter

This product is the perfect tool for sod busting. Long enough you won't break your back yet compact enough to handle easily. You may or may not need a shovel to lift the sod out of the way but that's okay. If you're doing this type of work you probably have one around. No other manual tool I've used cuts through grass and weed roots like the Ames Co. Sod Lifter. Digging is rarely pleasant but this product sure makes it easier.
