Product Description
Our Wall-Mounted Hose Reel extends hose life and stores hoses wherever needed. Heavy duty bracing prevents sagging. This next generation of hose storage option provides a tidy method for safely storing up to 100 feet of 5/8-inch hose. Perfect for mounting on the side of homes and out-buildings. The extra wide wall bracket mounting bar is sturdy and the pivoting swing arm allows the reel to swivel 180 degrees, so the hose can be used at any angle from the wall. Just what I was looking for
By David Kane
I love this hose reel. I read reviews by others that were somewhat negative before I made my purchase. Absolutely rediculous. One person couldn't mount it correctly...the mounting holes are perfectly spaced to attach to two wall studs (what did this person do wrong?) The unit is STRONG. Another person said the hose flops around when you wind it. Well, you should let the hose slide through the hand that isn't winding it up - end of problem. The one slight issue - which is fine with me - is that when you pull the hose out to use, the reel keeps on unreeling for a moment after you stop pulling. To fix - pull a little slower.

It's better than anything else I've found. . .

but that doesn't mean it doesn't have problems. It has a *really* loud squeal when you unwind or rewind hose. Because the pivot has no lock, it wants to flop around when you're winding. And there's no hose guide, so if your hose isn't lined up with reel when you're rewinding, it's not gonna want to wind onto reel. But at least it's not plastic!2013 update. . . . as long as it lasts. I have to say that mine has been in Arizona morning sun, at least, for a little over a year before it started to leak at the swivel. But it started leaking A LOT, & there is no way to access the seal to replace it. So now I've bypassed its water connection, & it's just a hose hanger. Not nearly as handy!

Yard Butler Hose Reel
By CHN
Overall, I was pleased with the quality and design of this hose reel. I would have preferred more flexibility in the mounting as the mounting pattern is narrow and fixed, requiring your wall studs to match the dimensions of the reel (mine didn't of course, so I had to improvise). I also think longer screws than provided are really needed for the top mounting locations since they stand off farther from the mounting surface.Other than that, the unit is stable and easy to use once installed and holds a considerable amount of hose.
