13"L blade with straight cutting edge. Measures 7-1/2"W at top; tapers to 6-1/2"W at bottom. Main shank is zinc plated aircraft tubing. Tubular steel D-handle is 4" wide inside with a 1-1/4" diameter handle. Rubber foot pad can be bolted to either side of blade step. One pad included. Handle: 27" L.

This spade is expensive, but well worth the money. I'm currently landscaping my backyard and the home depot shovel would not do the job. It kept bending and it was cheaply made. I was watching a vid on youtube about removing shrubs and the guy mentioned this spade while he was digging. You don't have to dig the shrub out, it's got a knife edge, so all you have to do is use your weight and it cuts right thru roots. With the proper tools. jobs are made easier. It takes less time for me to dig a shrub out with this spade, than what it would be to use my truck to rip it out of the ground (the traditional method). And these are Made in the USA!Stop supporting China and buy tools that are USA made. Yes, you will pay a bit more, but they will last a lifetime. I can understand buying bulls!t products that are made in China, but tools made in the US are renown around the world for their quality.I ordered the spade, shovel, and trowel - factory direct. And all three are top notch quality.
